About the choice of the inverter system for
fuel cell
We have continued to develop and manufacture DC/AC inverters and DC/DC
converters for 40 years. Recently we started to produce the inverter for
the hybrid to commercial power of fuel cell. This inverter passed the fuel
cell system certificate approval test of Japan’s Agency of Natural Resources
and Energy and Korea’s public power corporation. This product has two
methods about the hybrid to commercial power. This system’s provision
varies with each country.
1) If the load power (for
example, a household appliance, an electric motor and the light) is bigger than
the rating output of electric power which is generated from fuel cell connected
with commercial power wire, the insufficient power can be provided by the
commercial power. However, even though fuel cell load is small, and the AC
output has a margin, the fuel cell output does not come into the connected
commercial power. In case of the blackout of the commercial power, the
connection is released at once and the safety of the commercial side is
secured. When the commercial power recovers, the fuel cell can restore the
connection, adjusting to the frequency synchronized with it immediately.
2) If the load power which is joined to fuel cell that connected with commercial power wire is bigger than the fuel cell output, the insufficient power is able to be restocked by the commercial power supply. In case the fuel cell AC output is surplus power to the load, it is reversely transmitted to the commercial power supply. If the commercial power supply has a blackout, the connection is released at once, and the safety of the commercial side is secured. Of course, in case the commercial power supply recovers, the fuel cell synchronizes the frequency with it, and the connection can be restored. |
